Pop-up Globe

Shakespeare like it’s 1614. Only in Melbourne!

Pop-up Globe represents the first full-scale temporary working replica of one of the greatest theatres in history, London’s Globe Theatre. Pop-up Globe is the home of the most spectacular season of Shakespeare that Melbourne has ever seen. It represents a three-storey 16-sided, 900 person capacity theatre that incorporates cutting edge scaffolding technology with a 400 year old design, to transport audiences back in time.

Having taken Auckland by storm (twice!), Pop-up Globe drew interest from leading promoters from cities around the world. For its Melbourne season, Pop-up Globe brings with it four critically acclaimed productions – the riotous comedy, As You Like It, the uproarious rom-com, Much Ado About Nothing, psychological thriller, Othello and the bloody war epic, Henry V. Melbourne audiences are also the first to see a specially commissioned new show, Around the Globe in 60 minutes.

Australian Music Vault

The Australian Music Vault has been developed by Arts Centre Melbourne (ACM), in consultation with the music industry, as a celebration of Australian contemporary music - past, present and future. It's online, it's exhibitions, it's from those in the 'music know' sharing their knowledge, memories and collections with everyone. It's a place to explore your love of music, revisit some of the big music moments of your life, share those memories and discover the exciting new stories of today's Australian music scene. The Vault celebrates our Australian music 'Hall of Famers', our music talent from the songwriters, musicians, performers, designers, producers, promoters, roadies and the stories of the many fans. Everyone who has helped put Australian music on the map and allowed it to become the soundtrack of our lives.

The Australian Music Vault opened on Tuesday 19 December 2017. Further information can be found at the Australian Music Vault Website.
